Championships Held at the Shoal Creek Golf Club

Drawing on more than three decades of experience in the insurance industry, Scott G. Sink serves as the senior executive vice president for the Energy & Marine Division of McGriff, Seibels & Williams, Inc. In his leisure time, Scott G. Sink enjoys playing golf as a member of the Shoal Creek Golf Club.

Founded by Hall Thompson and Harald Lassen, Jr., who consulted distinguished golfer Jack Nicklaus, the Shoal Creek Golf Club has hosted several important championships since opening in 1977. Over the years, the club has hosted the 1984 PGA Championship won by Lee Trevino, the 1986 U.S. Amateur Championship, and the 1990 PGA Championship won by Wayne Grady.
More recently, the Shoal Creek Golf Club served as the home of the U.S. Junior Amateur Championship in 2008. Two years later, the club hosted the Southern Amateur Championship. Beginning in 2011, the Regions Tradition Championship took place at Shoal Creek for several consecutive years.
